A legally capable citizen of Uzbekistan who has reached the age of 18 may voluntarily apply to withdraw from citizenship.
The applicant must appear in person when submitting the application.

If the applicant’s spouse, parents or dependants are citizens of Uzbekistan and permanently reside in the country, their notarized statements confirming that they have no property claims against the applicant must be submitted.

The responsible officer checks the completeness and proper execution of the documents within three working days.
The application is registered in the E-Fuqaro information system. At the applicant’s request, confirmation that the application has been accepted and registered is issued within three working days.
Important: withdrawal from citizenship does not take effect on the date the application is submitted. It becomes effective only after the relevant decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan is adopted.
